What you pay, and when

Every figure that makes up your total, shown before you authorize payment. Nothing appears at the end that was not there at the start.

What makes up the price

How we show it

One total, with the breakdown available

Search results show the full price per traveller including taxes and carrier charges. At checkout you see the itemised breakdown — base fare, taxes, any extras you added, and our service fee — and the final total before the payment button.

The service fee

It varies with the complexity of the booking. A one-way domestic flight is not a multi-city itinerary for a family of six, and the fee reflects that. It is always shown separately and always before you pay. If you would rather know in advance, call and ask — we will tell you.

Currency

Prices are shown and charged in US dollars. If your card is issued in another currency, your bank sets the conversion rate and may add its own fee.

When you are charged

Payment is taken when you confirm the booking. Airline tickets are issued shortly afterwards, usually within minutes.

Fees on changes and cancellations

Where you ask us to submit a change or cancellation, the airline's penalty is set by your fare rules. A Vista handling fee may also apply, and we tell you both figures before anything is processed. You decide before any charge is made.

Common questions

Is the price I see the price I pay?

Yes. Search results include taxes and carrier charges. Optional extras you choose — bags, seats — and our service fee are added visibly at checkout, and the final total is shown before the payment button.

Why is the fare different from the airline's own website?

Airlines file different fares through different channels, and availability moves constantly. Sometimes we are cheaper, sometimes the airline is. We are not going to pretend otherwise — compare, and book wherever it works out better.

Can I add a bag after booking?

Usually yes, and usually cheaper than at the airport. Call or email with your reference and we will add it if the airline allows it on your fare.

Do you store my card details?

No. Payments are processed by established payment providers and card details are not stored on our servers.

Is the service fee refundable?

The service fee covers work already done at the time of booking, so it is generally non-refundable. The airline's portion follows your fare rules. We will always tell you which is which.
